What moto or tagline would you give the Early Modern Period that would describe the main theme(s) of the era? Be sure to respond to at least one other student’s post.
"The age of expansion and new ideas", its not very catchy but in the Early Modern Period, there was a lot of expansion happening, and also, a lot of new ideas and events, like the Janissaries, that made a difference in the society, religion, politics, and economy.
The expansion in the early modern period was particularly interesting because not only the borders of nations changed, but the boundaries of social groups.
I don't even like history class(no offense Mr.B) so I don't even care about any of this.
hey just because it isnt catchy doesnt mean it isnt good.
I would say , " True students of learning". The reason why is, they wanted to know more and see things in a different way. Also, they were influenced by many different cultures, new technology, trading, and ect.
I dont Know "The Time of Unexpected Changes"? alot of things changed,i guess, during the early modern period.
"The Fall of the World." Why? Because I make it so.
"Dont go with the flow" to meany people did this in years before and it didnt get them anywere in life but now that people were thinking for themselfs things were happening like meany new inventions in technology helping out daily life.
I would say it was a new era of change but unlike other eras of change it was defiantly a religious one.
"Exploration with a side of transformation." Yeah it's cheesy, but during the early modern period there was a lot of that stuff going on, especially transformation in Latin America and what not. Early modern russia also did a lot or pushing for independence.
Ya, I agree, I think that this is when places like Russia and Latin America really started to try and becaome independent.
I like it. its catchy
Kudos, Ayanna. Kudos.
Yeah, that's right I better get kudos!!! AND THEY BETTER BE CHOCOLATE ONES!!!!
"Total Transformation"—whether nations were growing, shrinking, revolting, questioning religion, or rethinking society, the early modern period covered some of the most quickly-changing years in history. It established a time of great transformation throughout Europe and the other nations of the world as their schools of thought, boundaries, societies, and governments changed.
I agree. Most of the countries in the world were experiencing changes.
I agree. This was a time in which nations, societies changed drastically.
I agree with you all
"The True Transformers," alot of people keep mentioning transformations and discoveries during the Early Modern Period and I completely agree. Many explorers, kings and queens, etc. really changed history at this point so thats why I think they are transformers.
I love your tagline, it's very creative!
Optimous Prime was not involved during this period! haha! just kidding.
your tagline is cool
"The Age of Exploration and Science." During the early modern period, many European countries were exploring and collonizing most of the world. Also, the Scientific revolution was going on. Scientists like Sir Isaac Newton and Galileo were changing the way that people thaught.
I think this tagline sums up pretty much everything that happened in this period. I like it!
I like this one also!
I think I would give it the tagline of 'The Age of Expansion and The Start of New Ways Thinking'. Very long, but This time period was a time where a lot of expansion happened and we started to see a change in the ways things were.
I like it, I think it describes it very well.
I think a good tagline for the early modern period would be: "Attack of the Europeans!". I think this would work because Europe began to colonize the world. Sometimes by force and sometimes peacefully, but mostly by force.
i love it Truly!
I would give it the tagline, "The Era of Expansion and Thinking". There was a lot of expansion and colonizing going on in different parts of the world. And, there started to be new ways of thinking and ways of science.
"Contributing new ideas" I say this because its all i can think of right now. But new ideas such as the Janissaries, they were using and improving the compass, map making and other navigational devices improved, and adaption into gunnery.
I agree. There were a lot of new ideas during this period.
"The age of Change and Transformation" I would call it this because well during the early modern period lots of things began to progress, change and transform.
